On January 12, 2010 a Earthquake of magnitude 7.0 hit the small island nation of Haiti causing one of the largest humanitarian disasters the world has ever seen. I spent the last days of 2010 in Haiti and celebrated the New Year of 2011 with the Haitians. I felt a sense of relief that the year had passed from the Haitian people. During my time in Haiti, Cholera was a struggle the people were facing. While in Haiti with a medical relief team within the internally displaced person camps in Port-au-Prince I saw some the greatest human struggles I have ever seen but I also saw a great resilience from the people and a JOY in the eyes of the Haitian children.
